Hi, in exciting news I have new solo show opening this Saturday November 12 from 2-4pm at the Olsen Annexe Gallery! If you happen to be in Sydney please come say hello!

Teddy, set, go!

Hi, here’s a new ceramic sculpture of a koala teddy I’ve made for an upcoming group show opening October 28 at Divisions Gallery in Pentridge, a site that from 1851 until 1997 was a prison.

The sculpture is based on a koala teddy that was made by a Pentridge prisoner in 1962 as part of the Pentridge Toy Makers, a group that encouraged prisoners who were interested in arts and craft to produce toys for children in need.

For me the koala teddy serves as a little beacon for the transformational experience of creating art, and is a hopeful indication of what’s possible when we shift from reprehension to rehabilitation.

The exhibition, titled Seperate & Silent, opens Friday October 28 from 6-8pm and runs until December 4. For more information click here!

In other news, I'm super excited to be one of the artists included in the upcoming Melbourne NOW at the National Gallery of Victoria, opening in March 2023!

Celebrating new and ambitious local art and design, Melbourne NOW 2023 will cross a range of contemporary disciplines including fashion and jewellery, painting, sculpture, architecture, ceramics, video, performance, printmaking and publishing.

Practice makes pear-fect

Hello, hope you're well!

Recently it was so wonderful to install my work The World’s Gone Pear Shaped, a sculpture as relevant as ever, by the Shepparton Art Museum as part of the White Night festival!

Grateful to the traditional owners of the land, the Yorta Yorta Nation, and am feeling lucky to be showing my work alongside so many amazing artists, musicians and performers.

Flight of fancy

Hi from Aotearoa, New Zealand!

Here I am smiling while at the amazing Tikitere geothermal reserve in Rotorua.

And here I am smiling inside a Hobbits home in the Shire where they filmed Lord of the Rings.

Speaking of which, here’s a new ceramic sculpture of a memory card called ‘Smiling in front of things’, (which I’ve been doing a lot of while on the trip!)

This sculpture is included in my new solo show at {Suite} Gallery opening this Wednesday August 3rd from 5.30pm to 7pm, come say hello if you happen to be in Auckland! 

The exhibition’s called En Plane Air and is a series of sculptures and drawings that playfully celebrate the joys of travel.

Here's another new ceramic work in the exhibition, titled Plane Chips.

The gallery is located at 189 Ponsonby Road, Auckland, and the exhibition is open from this Wednesday evening until August 27th.

En Plane Air

Hi, in exciting news I have a new solo show opening next month at {Suite} Gallery in Aotearoa, New Zealand!

The exhibition’s called En Plane Air and is a series of sculptures and drawings that playfully celebrate the joys of travel. 

Featured in the exhibition is this new series of ceramic paint tubes, referencing the idea that ever since the paint tube was invented in 1841 artists have been able to make work whilst on the go!

The opening is on Wednesday August 3rd, come say hello if you happen to be in Auckland!
