Everything's going according to plant

Hello, in exciting news the Deakin University Contemporary Small Sculpture Prize has officially opened this week and I'm delighted to share that my ceramic series, The Symphony Orchid-stra, has been selected as a finalist!
The exhibition is open until December 15th and is wheelchair accessible.

In other news, I'm excited to be one of the artists taking part in a special event happening this Saturday November 27th called En Plein Air, where I'll be drawing and painting on Dhauwurd Wurrung land in one of Victoria’s oldest dormant volcanoes.

En Plein Air is presented by the Worn Gundidj Aboriginal Cooperative and Warrnambool Art Gallery, where I'll be working alongside many great artists including Rick Amor, Michelle Hamer, Grant Nimo, Harley Manifold, Sue Anderson and Talitha Kennedy.

In other exciting news, my piece Trying To Leaf Things Better Than We Found Them has been printed onto a signal box! You can find it on the streets of Ringwood East.

Photos taken by Andy Drewitt. A huge thanks to Jane O'Neil and the Maroondah City Council for helping bring my signal box to life.

In other news, I'm hosting an artist talk coming up at Walker Street Gallery in Dandenong. The talk's on at 12pm on Tuesday December 14th, come along if you can! Click here for more info and to register.

And in other news, I was recently invited to make some drawings for a new Sydney based fully compostable coffee company called Single'O. Keep an eye out for them next time you're stocking up on coffee!

And lastly, in more exciting news, I have some work in an upcoming group exhibition opening tomorrow at Divisions Gallery in Pentridge, the old Coburg prison.

The exhibition's titled Emergence and features work by myself alongside artists Varuni K, Tegan Iversen, Lucy Maddox, Alex Gibson, Lana Daubermann, Joe Whyte and Brett Ashby.

The show's open from November 26, 2021 to January 16, 2022, and is wheelchair accessible.

Thanks so much for reading, hope you're going well, and to finish up here's a drawing I made recently of two people sitting under a tree in the Pentridge courtyard.
