Swiss rolling in the deep

Hello! I hope you're keeping well. Here's a new ceramic sculpture that's particularly nostalgic for me, of a jam swiss roll.
Jam Swiss Roll
32cm x 9cm x 6.5cm, acrylic on ceramic. 2021.

This piece is included in an upcoming group show at Counihan Gallery in Brunswick, open from this Friday until July 18th.

The exhibition is all about the ritual, celebration and sharing of food. It features the work of myself alongside artists Samanta Bakker, Eddy Carroll, Jessie DiBlasi, Stephanie Dix, Robert Gale, Alasdair Mackinnon, Lucy Roleff, Chloe Smith and Pauline Tran.

For more info please visit the gallery website by clicking here.

Here's another new ceramic sculpture I have in the show, titled Raspberry Jam. This piece, along with my others in the show, explore some of our comforts and our coping mechanisms.

In other exciting news, I'm currently in the process of moving studios and so I've added a few new pieces to the Studio Sale! section of my website.

One work that was available, although has just found a new home, is this oil painting I made exactly ten years ago to the day titled 'DOG SEES POSSUM'.

Oil on canvas, 60cm x 30cm x 2cm, 2011

Thanks so much for reading, hope you have a nice rest of the week, and that it's jam packed with as many dogs as possumble.
